NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY IN NORFOLK AND SUFFOLK
I have been providing newborn photography in Thetford for over 9 years! It is such a rewarding job and I am very lucky to have worked with so many amazing families who have come back to the studio, again and again. Each baby is so different and I love getting to capture their sweet little features. They do not stay little for long which is why it’s such an important time to document them.
To get the best shots of your little one, I recommend that the shoot takes place in your baby’s first 2 weeks. Ideally between 5-10 days old. At this point they are very sleepy which makes posing much easier and more variety within the set ups. I have completed training with one of the worlds best newborn photographers and understand how to pose a baby safely. Their safety is my priority. I will work with your baby to get beautiful shots but will never force them into a position that is unsafe or uncomfortable for them.
If it is not possible to book your session in those first 2 weeks, a shoot is still possible up to 4 weeks of age. These sessions contain much simpler posing and your baby is likely to be awake for more time.
WHEN TO BOOK YOUR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY
As it is impossible to pinpoint the exact date your little one will decide to arrive, it is a good idea to contact me in your second trimester. At this point, you can book in a provisional date for your shoot, ensuring there is space reserved in my diary. This date will of course remain flexible. Once your baby arrives we will set an official date as close to 7 days old as possible. To book in a session visit the Investment page on my website and follow the step by step instructions.
The newborn photography sessions take place at my studio in Thetford. The studio is equipped with gorgeous props and typically I will aim to do 4 set ups to give you a variety of images. Sibling shots can also be arranged and I always invite you as parents, to have a photo with your baby too. They will appreciate it so much when they are older!
After the session I will professionally edit a gallery of approximately 20+ images. Many people are often worried that their baby has developed flaky skin or spots. This is completely normal for a newborn and detailed skin retouching is included as standard in every newborn shoot. The editing process takes me approximately 2-3 weeks to complete. Your images will be beautifully prepared and uploaded onto a private online gallery. You can download your high resolution images and can also choose to purchase additional products for your home.
