Welcome to

Oxnead Hall in Winter

Last December I had my first wedding at Oxnead Hall. It was full of emotion, love, beauty, glamour, fun and elegance! It was every photographers dream!

Evea and Tom wanted to make the most of the Christmas season and opted to have a beautiful winter wedding. They had the largest Christmas tree I have ever seen and the most stunning table centre pieces.  So much time, love and effort went into the decor and no expense was spared to make the dream a reality!

Evea had chosen two wedding dresses! The dress for the day was elegant and regal and had a very clean and simple feel. In contrast, the dress in the evening reflected her vivacious personality and was a little more daring! It was not your average dress! Designed by Galia Lahav and only one store in the UK stocks these incredible couture dresses.

The ceremony took place in the Long Room and due to the cold weather the drinks reception was also served there.  The groomsmen accompanied us down to the orangery after the ceremony for photos.  An act of true chivalry so that the bridesmaids did not get cold or ruin their heels! They did a surprisingly good job arranging the dress.

Oxnead Hall has the most beautiful grounds and a dry summer wedding would be spoilt for choice for photo locations however, it was simply too cold on this occasion to make full use of them.  Thankfully the Long Room and courtyard garden adjacent provided the perfect back drop for portraits. When the light faded, the water fountain came into it’s own with a little extra flash. A stunning bouquet shot was created by highlighting the water droplets.
