Professional Photographer – Sally Lowe
Get To Know Me – Q&A
Where do you live?
I live in Thetford, Norfolk.
Who do you live with?
I married my husband Matt when I was 19 years old and we have been happily married for over 12 years. We share our home together with our son Reuben who is 4 years old going on 14! He definitely keeps me on my toes as I work from home and look after him when he is not at school. I’m pretty busy but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I also have a little cat called Tink. I got her hoping she would snuggle in my lap whilst I edit, instead, she sleeps in a bag filled with bubble wrap under my desk!
How did you get into photography?
I have a BA (Hons) degree in Interior and Spatial Design, and it was whilst studying that I discovered my passion for photography. I had to create many visual presentations which led me to sell prints and cards. After I graduated, I decided to pursue professional photography as a career –and this is a decision I definitely do not regret! I love every part of my job; there is nothing more satisfying to me than capturing a genuine expression of affection, excitement, joy, hope or anticipation.
What other interests do you have?
I like to run when I have time. Well, actually I love to stay on the sofa and watch a film or read a book but I force myself to keep fit! I love Game of Thrones. The books and the show! There are so many shows we love! Mostly if I am not working, I am spending time with my family. Time with them is precious to me. One of our favourite past times is heading to the zoo!
What advice would you give to couples looking to get married?
I didn’t book a professional photographer for my wedding. It is too big a responsibility to place on a friend. It is one of the reasons why I am so passionate about what I do. I recommend booking an experienced photographer who you get along with. The more relaxed you are and comfortable with your photographer the better.
A Fully Insured Professional Photographer
For your peace of mind I am fully insured with public liability and indemnity insurance. I am also a qualified member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers
. This means that a selection of my commissioned work has been assessed by a board of examiners and I have been awarded a Licentiateship in photography. The qualification is a further assurance that you are paying a professional photographer who can consistently produce work of a professional quality.
It would be great to get to know you, so why not book in to have a chat with me? I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
